Manufacturing Part Mark / Packing - Swing Shift (4 x 10s)

Orion Industries, a Boeing supplier and award-winning aerospace manufacturer and community enriching company, is hiring an experienced manufacturing employee to support the Part Mark & Packaging area of its Finish cell on Swing Shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:25pm to 1:55am).  If you have ever wanted to break into the aerospace manufacturing field or expand upon your current skills, this is a great position to gain experiences to help you grow your career in aerospace.

  1. Perform setup of part marking equipment using written instructions from work order
  2. Apply part identification to details and assemblies using stencils, rubber stamps, inkjet and tags
  3. Verify Part counts against work order
  4. Make specific packaging material and use sealers
  5. Ability to visually identify defects in workmanship regarding finishes, physical damage and part identification
  6. Meet Orion safety and quality system requirements
  7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  8. Process work within performance and delivery requirements:
  • Meet established productivity standards
  • Follow communicated job priority instructions
  • Communicate production delays and problems to appropriate supervision
  • Support all members of the Manufacturing and Orion team fully to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals and objectives
  • Participate in team and company meetings
  • Role model proper work ethics, behaviors, hygiene, and dress

Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn and work in a fast paced & high volume work area
  • Basic mathematical and measurement skills
  • Ability to interpret work instructions and specifications
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Training experience for new employees and program participants
  • Customer service skills; able to relate well to all internal and external customer

This is a full time swing shift position working Monday through Thursday, 3:25pm to 1:55am
