The company is continuing to grow its team by adding a dynamic Hardware Product Manager.

Summary:

The Hardware Product Manager is responsible for managing a product portfolio from cradle to grave and continuing to grow the product portfolio’s leadership position and market share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Create product strategy outlining tiering, product differentiation and value proposition.

· Conduct and collect market research to identify market trends.

· Create business cases and market/product descriptions for new market and product opportunities; present cases to stakeholders for input and approval.

· Effectively present product plans, ideas, and designs to key stakeholders for feedback.

· Drive efforts with, and across teams including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and stakeholders to successfully launch product upgrades, new products and features.

· Maintain a product and feature roadmap for products, managing prioritization and capacity planning.

· Handle internal and external global communications with regards to features, schedules, product capabilities, announcements, and releases.

· Manage versions, updates, changes, deployments, and launches.

· Develop core positioning and messaging for assigned products.

· Evaluate feature implementations before launch.

· Review technical specification in RFIs/RFPs and provide input to Sales.

· Develop product pricing strategy based on costs, market factors and competitive information.

· Develop and communicate product unit forecasts to internal management and key partners.

· Become the subject matter expert for designated products and willingly share that knowledge with others.

· Maintain positive working relationships with key industry partners.

· Work with Marketing Communications to develop documentation, sales tools and collateral.

· Provide technical demonstrations with Sales and deliver product demos to customers, prospects, and internal audiences.

· Life cycle management of Hardware and Firmware products in the transit industry.

· Coordinate with international product managers to create a unified product offering and apply local requirements and changes to the global core products.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.

· Superior time management skills; proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· Excellent project planning and organizational skills.

· Demonstrated passion for producing high-quality work, focusing on the customer's needs and established business objectives.

· Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

· Knowledge of LED and display technologies a plus.

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or Business required; technical degree is preferred; advanced degree a plus.

· Minimum 5-7 years of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

· Proven history of success in product management preferably in a B2B environment.

· Experience in product management for system level offerings that include hardware, software and service.

· Experience leading complex projects to successful outcomes.

· Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
