    Do you have a passion for helping Microsoft’s clients defend themselves against targeted exploitation? Are you interested in being intimately involved in the latest, cutting edge developments in the security industry and having a direct impact on the security of all Microsoft customers? Do you want to be on the front lines of helping our customers go toe-to-toe against advanced adversaries? Are you interested in a fast-paced job full of new opportunities? If so, you might be a candidate for the Microsoft Detection and Response Team (DART). The team is looking for a strong, experienced developer consultant to join our client-facing response team


    • Development of tools that support the team during incident response and proactive assessments
    • Assistance in the preparation of tool deployments in customer environments
    • Development of automations used for investigations and hunting in customer engagements
    • Work with partner teams in collaboration projects
    • Work independently and effectively, and manage through ambiguity  


    • BS Computer Science / Engineering or comparable experience in a related discipline
    • 2-5 years of professional software development lifecycle experience in C#
    • 2-3 years of professional software development experience with TypeScript, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, and JSON
    • Experience in object-oriented programming and SOLID principles
    • Experience writing unit tests using xUnit.Net
    • Proven experience developing for Azure PaaS technologies Azure Functions, Storage (blob, table, queues), Azure Data Explorer, and Azure Data Factory
    • Experience with Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) and Kusto Query Language (KQL)
    • Experience with git and Azure DevOps
    • Proven ability to communicate and collaborative in a team environment
    • Strong problem-solving skills, a passion for quality, and the ability to deal with ambiguity

    Experience in the following areas is a plus:

    • Experience in SDL threat modelling and defensive programming
    • Ability to work independently and perform rapid solution engineering under time constrained conditions with limited support
