Position: Supply Chain, Demand Planning Specialist
Location: Seattle, WA

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting supply chain operations with analyzing and maintaining Sales order processing, 3rd party partner transactions and inventory. The Supply Chain Demand Planning Specialist aligns and maintains information in vendor portals, manages order transactions in SAP, and supports the Operations and Forward Logistics team with reporting and data entry. The Supply Chain Demand Planning Specialist is the integration point between planning and execution, leading operational support for the team. The selected candidate will interact regularly with Asia Factory Managers, and local teams in Seattle.

Key objectives:

Provide seamless execution of product orders from customers, HTC factory, and 3rd party distributor partners. Enable Supply Chain Planning to deliver on customer commitments and continually seek process improvements to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and the customer experience. Enable weekly forecast processing through report generation and forecast consolidation, while managing PO’s and shipments.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand demand forecast drivers
  • Assemble and analyze data pertinent to creating the demand plan
  • Manage all processes and transactions to support end to end demand planning strategy
  • Contribute to periodic performance reviews to provide knowledge of pipeline inventory status & vendor requirements
  • Analyze, communicate and monitor the impacts of changes to the demand plan
  • Support weekly, monthly and quarterly inventory forecasting and reporting
  • Ensure master data is accurate and maintainted
  • Execute with excellence to seek opportunities to refine processes and tools to continually improve operations and our ability to create ideal customer experiences
  • Cross-functional coordination with team members in Taiwan and the US

Responsibilities:

  • SAP Transactions
  • Create sales orders and purchase orders in SAP for materials to ship from Factory to 3rd party location in the US and/or shipments direct to customer warehouse
  • Manage timely Goods Receipt transactions to ensure inventory accuracy and timely revenue recognition
  • Monitor transactions and shipment status for timeliness and accuracy
  • Lead issue resolution for potential SAP errors and/or process gaps
  • Manage SAP transactions to ensure 100% accuracy between virtual and actual inventory levels
  • Reconcile as needed any potential inventory discrepancies
  • Input weekly Demand Planner’s forecasts into SAP
  • Reporting
  • Provide regular reporting on PO status, Inventory Positions, and Compliance Scores
  • Maintain reporting and logs for transaction data
  • Consolidate Demand Planning data into aggregated templates as needed
  • Operational Excellence
  • Align with key partners to collect information needed to set up & maintain master data for new products within SAP and Vendor Portals
  • Develop expert knowledge of customer shipping guidelines, commercial agreements, and other order process requirements
  • Mitigate negative financial penalties as a result of non-compliant operational execution
  • Summarize root cause information for potential incompliance fees from customers
  • Escalate critical issues for immediate support
  • Establish regular check in processes with both HTC Factory and Customer Accounts
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Supply Chain team members, IT, and HTC Taiwan counterparts
  • Work seamlessly with 3rd Party logistics providers on fulfillment, enhancements, or projects
  • Participate actively in key meetings
  • Customer Focus
  • Proactively communicate to internal stakeholders the delivery schedules for open orders and in transit, change requests from customer or factory

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and or combination of relevant professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience allocation, retail planning, replenishment, or retail order processing
  • Experience in National Retail, Wireless, or Consumer Electronics inventory management
  • Knowledge of National Retail supply chain processes
  • Experience with order fulfillment, replenishment, and retail logistics
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and proactively share data, and seek information
  • Thorough knowledge of SAP (DP), ERP, Business Objects
  • Ability to manage data and create reports in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong ability to navigate through and thrive in sometimes ambiguous environments
  • Attention to detail and proven track record of follow through and reliability
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to or lead change, demonstrate sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
Proven interpersonal skills, ability to operate in a matrix organization, and strong written and verbal communication
