Program Support Coordinator K-12

DigiPen Institute of Technology is searching for an energetic administrative professional to join us on our mission to lead Kindergarten through high school students on a pathway to careers in the arts and sciences. Each year, we work with thousands of students as they participate in our engaging programs that teach computer science, game design, art and animation, engineering, and music and sound design.  This full-time entry-level position is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to work with kids and their families and is ideal for a self-starter who embraces challenges. 

This is a TEMPORARY benefit eligible POSITION 

Essential Skills/Goals:

  • At least 1 year of experience in youth development or education
  • Requires a friendly and patient demeanor in working with children and their families
  • Previous experience working in a customer service or other client-facing roles
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and adapts to changing needs and priorities
  • Shows a commitment to being a life-long learner
  • Must be available to work rotational evenings and weekends for events and outreach programs throughout the year
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn new programs
  • Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Skills/Competencies:

  • Prior knowledge and experience with topics related to interactive technology 
  • Operational or instructional work experience in  K-12 educational setting including classes, workshops, and camps
  • Experience working with children in community-based youth programs including coaching and counseling 

Working conditions

Must be willing to work a rotational evening and weekend shift when business needs arise. The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and significant fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs. Generally job requires a variation of standing, sitting walking.

Coverage will begin the first of the month following 60 days of active full time (40 hours/week) of employment.  Eligible benefits include the following: Medical, Dental and Vision.
