Concur is seeking its next strategically oriented senior leader to join our Cloud Services team as Vice President of Service Management. The Cloud Services team provides infrastructure and platform services for Concur solutions and is a key partner/service provider for our internal solution development teams. This role will focus on the ongoing transformation of Service Management and Cloud Servers to being part of a DevOps ecosystem as we continue our drive to shorten time to market for new features as well as improving site reliability. The VP of Service Management will sit directly in the middle of the positive tension between the needs for speed of delivery and site reliability and will use their skills to help their teams and partners navigate the changing waters. The candidate will have a proven record of tactical and strategic leadership, organizational transformation, leading teams towards DevOps, and demonstrated high level of partnership/collaboration to advance company goals.

In the first 12 months you will:

Work cross functionally with engineering groups to establish end to end ownership definitions and boundaries, and develop strategy to implement transition.

Lead team of more than 60 Engineers to enable devops/end to end transformation by building and maturing products and services to support the engineering ownership objectives.

Work with Business Owners to implement increasingly complex service management requirements in support of expectation from existing and potential customers, including the largest organizations in world from both the private and public sectors.

Be Responsible for hiring, developing and retaining talent

Define key skills, training, and development paths for a team members

Position Requirements

In order to accomplish this you will need:

Experience coordinating among different teams of an organization

Well organized, able to multi-task, own and manage multiple deadlines to successful completion

Lead teams to productively work through challenges, and drive efficiency to meet expanding requirements.

Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into a coherent plan

Experience with service management, specifically in a SAAS environment

Track record for communicating effectively across an organization

Ability and willingness to travel up 25% of the time is required

What do you need to bring?

Strong understanding of a programming language (Python, C#, Java, etc.)

A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, including at least 5 years of experience in a management role. Development experience is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in a technology field required. Advanced degree a plus.

Following experience is a plus:
o Continuous integration tools (such as Jenkins, Travis-CI, Go)
o Infrastructure provisioning tools (such as Chef, Puppet, Automic, Ansible)
o VMware virtualization
o Monitoring tools such as Extrahop and New Relic
o ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
o Windows and Linux operating systems administration and tuning experience
o Understanding of test automation principles and automation framework design is a plus
