Commercial Loan Administration Advisor Opportunity Overview

As a Commercial Loan Administration Advisor with Banner Bank you will perform functions related to loading large, non-complex loan funding and bookings into the core loan system in accordance to terms and conditions of credit approval, internal guidelines, and established service level standards.   Responsibilities are primarily related to loans under the category of Participations, Syndications, Shared National Credits, Special Asset, REOs, CRAs, State Housing, Municipal Bonds, International Trade Operations, Replacement Reserves, and all other servicing transactions.  Maintain core system, perform general ledger reconciliation, and manage reports and administration of commercial/commercial real estate special credits.

As a Commercial Loan Administration Advisor with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:

  • Service participation, syndication and shared national credit loans.  
  • Service OREO/Commercial OPPO asset records, including the processing of write downs and sale proceeds.
  • Service Commercial loans managed by the Special Assets department and maintaining close communication. Service CRA loans, process replacement reserve transfers, annual increases, and draw requests.
  • Maintain accurate core system coding for Commercial loans associated with bankruptcy filings.
  • Set up setting up and administering Non-Accrual and Charge-off Loans on the core system. Maintain loan risk ratings on the core system for Commercial classified credits.
  • Reconcile monthly participation GL and bank control accounts.
  • Establish and service Letters of Credit in the core system, including scanning and filing original Continuing Agreements.
  • Perform core system loan quality assurance audits. Research and resolve core system loan related issues. 

Travel: Overnight travel as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma required
  • 2 years of college or specialized business courses preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

  • 3 or more years of back room operations experience in commercial and commercial real estate loan servicing.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of financial contracts, bank regulatory compliance issues, and the perfection of security interest.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures, including GL entries and balancing. Proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft Windows.
  • Good customer service, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to commercial and commercial real estate lending.
