Integrated Planning Leader

Our growing DC office is looking for an Integrated Planning Leader to join our multi-disciplinary office. You'd be helping us grow and establish our Integrated Planning service offering. You will be building client relationships and be supported by our regional integrated planning teams. Our DC office works on local and international projects like Air Force Memorial, Dulles International Airport expansion, and the US Embassy in London.
•Establish Integrated Planning in DC working with the DC office structure on Infrastructure or IP pursuits
•Assist in the growth of the Integrated Planning businesses in the Northeast Corridor with a focus on DC
•Managing complex and high-profile projects focusing on the Northeast region of the US to provide oversight and preparation of environmental documents to comply with Federal, State and Local requirements for project reviews.
•Prepare local and regional long-range open space planning documents (general plans, specific plans, transportation plans, community plans, zoning ordinance updates)
•Coordinate permitting activities with federal, state and local agencies
•Manage and provide services required for preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS)/Environmental Impact Reports (EIR) Environmental Assessments (EA)/and other required assessments in support of Arup Planning, Building and Infrastructure projects.
•Manage multi-disciplinary team of in-house and subconsultant engineers, planners, environmental protection specialists, grant managers, specialists, and attorneys to coordinate project implementation and delivery
•Manage preparation of air quality and greenhouse gas emissions/global climate change analyses, visual impact assessments, cultural resources assessments, biological technical reports, traffic studies, noise analysis, hydrologic modeling, and geotechnical reports, as well as completing regulatory permitting and construction compliance services.
•Minimum 12 years' experience in planning, urban design, transportation or related field
•Bachelor's degree in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or related field
•Experience working within integrated and multi-disciplinary teams on major and large-scale projects
•Proven business development and delivery experience
•Proven ability to deliver commercially successful multi-disciplinary projects
•Local Washington, D.C. area experience and network desired
•Environmental Planning experience preferred
•Client management experience
•Effective written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to build and maintain relationships internally
•Mentor staff and contribute to their ongoing professional development
•AICP or PE certification or in process of obtaining certification
•Master's degree preferred
