Our District

More than a million students have advanced their educations and their careers at the Seattle Community Colleges. Our graduates work in the top companies in the Seattle area, and more of them transfer to four-year colleges and universities than from any other college district in the state.

Our district is the largest two-year system in Washington, with three comprehensive colleges, a vocational institute and five specialized training centers located throughout the city. Like our Pacific Rim city, our colleges are vibrant and diverse, with students representing the nearly 100 different first languages spoken in homes throughout the region. Seattle Community Colleges offer many activities, services, and facilities which are open to the public. Many are operated by students who gain valuable real-world skills and experience while helping to support their programs of study. Some of these facilities have restricted hours of operation or availability; particularly during the summer and Quarterly Breaks.
